Steve is married to Lorraine, and they have four (now grown up) children. He first trained as a doctor, and still works two days a week as an anaesthetist. Steve certainly knows how to send people to sleep...

The Revd Liz Carrington (Deacon)
Liz was ordained Deacon in 2009 after nearly five years as a Reader. A member of St Luke's for many years, Liz was International Development Adviser to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy until her retirement in 2010.

Lynn Comer (Reader)
Lynn became a Reader in the 1990s and is a long-standing member of St Luke's. She is married to Mark with one son, lectures in Theology at York St John University, and is Director of Reader Training for the Diocese of York.

The Revd Trevor Gant (Curate)
Trevor is a long-standing member of St Luke's and was ordained Priest in June 2009 to serve as our Curate after some years as a Reader. He is married to Helen with two grown-up sons, and earns his living as a laboratory technician at St Peter's School.

Jan Hutchinson (Reader)
Jan was licensed to serve at St Luke's in November 2008. She moved to the parish earlier that year from the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham where she had served as a Reader for some years.

Mark Reilly (Churchwarden)
Mark has been a member of St Luke's since his student days at the College of Ripon and York St John. He is a management consultant for the NHS.

Paul Smith (Churchwarden)
Originally coming from Newcastle, Paul has been part of St Luke's since the mid 1990's. A keen Newcastle United follower - he is working on his weaknesses...

Martin Sheppard (Reader in training and Web-warden)
Having recently started training in Reader Studies, Martin has worked in the Church of England for many years, with a deep and abiding interest in the Archdeaconry of Gridlington. Despite this depth of knowledge he would still rather be in a signalbox with a lever cloth and a pair of block bells.
